Whether you are a Raleigh resident, or coming in from out of town, the State Farmer’s Market is truly one of our finest places to visit and get into the true spirit of North Carolina Agriculture!
A good place to start is the Farmer’s Building, which is an outdoor mega-market of plants and produce grown on local farms. This 30,000 square foot building offers the most current produce of the season that comes right from the farm!
The State Farmers Market is located close to downtown Raleigh & North Carolina State University, The State Farmer’s Market sits on 75 acres and is considered to be one of the most modern markets in the United States!
You’ll love exploring the indoor and outdoor specialty shops & restaurants that feature fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and gift products from across the state.
Another fun aspect of the Farmer’s Market is that you’ll get to witness some of the largest produce grown for the season like You’ll also find the season’s best is celebrated with designated days for peach, watermelon, pumpkin & pecan, just to name a few! !
Admission is free, and the market hours are: Monday-Saturday, 5am-6pm and Sunday, 8am-6pm.
Once you finish at the outdoor market, head over to the Market Shoppes, a 15,000+ square foot, climate controlled building where you’ll find fresh produce from around the country, as well as meats, cheeses, bakery items, NC Wines and the Market Grill.
You’ll also enjoy a nice array of specialty shops with gifts brought from around the state, including old fashioned candles, soaps and lotions.
The State Farmer’s Market also features a “drive through” truckers building, where a vendor can pick up large quantities of items like; peaches, tomatoes, apples, watermelons and cantaloupes from NC and growers around the world!
Beyond the food aspect of the market, there is the two acre, Market Import facility! Here you will find great landscape elements such as water features, pots, ironwork, stone, pottery and much more! Market Imports is open seven days a week from 9am-5pm!
